St. Patty's free live music, farmer for a day, and more

Marin events and activities this weekend

How are you enjoying an extra hour of evening daylight? It doesn’t feel like spring yet, and the events won’t really start until the weather is a bit warmer. However, there are a few exciting things to check out this weekend!

Happy Birthday: Jeff Pheatt in San Rafael

restaurant of the week section

Pizza comes in two categories: going-out and delivery. Going-out pizza in Marin, it is tough to beat Creekside right? In my opinion, you have to also consider the salad and beer options that go with it. If a place has pizza but also a more extensive menu, like Watershed in Mill Valley, that shouldn’t penalize them, right? What’s your pick?

Thursday 3/13

You get to go out on a Thursday to the classy Cavallo Point with 2 drinks and bites all for $45? Oh and if you aren’t convinced, proceeds go to charity.

Friday 3/14

Pi Day at Nowhere

I guess Marin doesn’t have enough math nerds to celebrate 3.14 at 1:59pm? Maybe next year we organize our own…

Kick off St. Paddy’s weekend with a free show. Think the rock-and-roll kind of Irish music, not the quiet folk type.

Saturday 3/15

Pretend to be a farmer for a morning, milk some goats, enjoy the food you prepare. Plus you can even camp on site if you are into that sort of thing.

The outdoor and family friendly beer garden will have live music 4-7.

Yes, the travel guy has traveled to San Rafael! This event is sold out, but tickets will either be available at the door or join the standby line.

Sunday 3/16

We are talking Jim Henson-level puppets, so this event is actually for teens and adults. It sounds like a unique hands-on afternoon!

You’ve had sparkling wine, but have you tried sparkling mead made from honey? $150 three-course lunch with pairings.
