Tickets Are On Sale For Our Next Dinner Club
6:15pm Tuesday, February 10 in Mill Valley

What’s the Marin Buzz Dinner Club? You fill out a personality and preference quiz to book a seat with 5 strangers for dinner. The location is revealed the morning of the event. After the meal, all the tables come together at the optional afterparty.
The first one in San Rafael was a blast. We heard many new friendships were formed and even additional hangouts scheduled. The restaurant experience could have been improved, so we are making a few changes this time.
It is $30 so we can book a wider assortment of restaurants that require cancellation fees. We also changed the day of the week and are limiting the size to 75% of last time (156 tickets), so that no individual restaurant gets overwhelmed. Plus, the real estate team of Kathleen Clifford, Lauren Wilcox, and Mike Murphy is covering the first drink at the afterparty!
This will sell out and we are letting our email subscribers know ahead of our social media post tomorrow. So act fast!

The Winter Olympics open this weekend in Italy, so here’s the story of Marin’s local legend.
How many families across Marin have this routine: pack the car on Friday afternoon, sit in traffic on I-80, ski your legs off for two days, and drive back Sunday night? For one kid from Tiburon, that weekly commute didn't just lead to good memories. He took it all the way to Olympic Gold and stardom.
Jonny Moseley was born in Puerto Rico, but he is Marin through and through. His family moved to Tiburon when he was a toddler. Specifically, they moved to Paradise Cay, the waterfront neighborhood that was actually developed by his own grandfather.
Jonny wasn’t raised on the slopes. He attended The Branson School in Ross while maintaining his obsession for the mountains. His path changed forever when his brother watched Hot Dog… The Movie and convinced the family to let him ditch traditional racing for freestyle skiing.
While the mountain kids in Tahoe could ski every day after school, Jonny had to make his weekends count. He joined the Squaw Valley Freestyle Team, training relentlessly for 48 hours before heading back to sea level for school on Monday.
That drive paid off in 1998 at the Nagano Winter Olympics. At the time, mogul skiing was strict and stiff: knees together, no flair. Jonny decided to break the rules. He launched a "360 Mute Grab," a move borrowed from snowboarding where he crossed his skis and grabbed the boot mid-air. It was stylish, it was punk-rock, and it was undeniable. He brought the Gold Medal home to Marin, becoming an instant celebrity.
He didn’t stop there. He hosted Saturday Night Live and returned to the 2002 Olympics with a trick called the "Dinner Roll." It was an off-axis spin so dangerous and new that the judges didn’t know how to score it. He finished 4th, but the trick forced the International Ski Federation to rewrite the rulebook, allowing the inverted aerials we see today.
Jonny never left Marin behind. In 2005, he brought the mountain to the Bay, dumping 200 tons of snow on San Francisco’s Fillmore Street for the "Icer Air" urban ski jump competition.
Today, Moseley is still a fixture in Tiburon. You might spot him grabbing coffee in town or heading out on his boat in the Bay. Or maybe you’ll bump into him in Tahoe. He’s just another Marin dad teaching his own kids to ski at Palisades.

$4.1M Mid-Century Home with a View in Kentfield

Ah, the Kent Woodlands. Is there anywhere more Marin than this?
From this home you can walk to Phoenix Lake and have an incredible view from your pool deck.
It also comes with the right number of bedrooms and bathrooms for the house size. 3,401 square feet, 5 beds, 4 baths. I’m tired of these incredible and large homes that have only 3 bedrooms.
This seems to be worth every bit of the $4.1M, right? (I’m very good at spending money I don’t have…)
