Happy Fourth of July weekend! There are many celebrations across Marin, and even some fireworks.

We love a great family-owned restaurant, and this is one of the best. I’d rank the ravioli with brown butter and sage as a must try. Even if you want something else as your main, get it to share on the side. Report back, let us know what you think.

BUG-TASTIC is the theme, does that convince you to go? There are a bunch of interesting competitions, like the Pocket Pet Competition. July 2-6, 11am-11pm. $25.
Plus, fireworks every night at 9:30pm!

Dinner shows are where it’s at, plus you have off work the next day. This is an all female folk, country, and Americana band playing at Station House Cafe. 6-8, free with $25 food and beverage minimum.
Friday, July 4
Bolinas vs. Stinson across the channel at 9am. BBQ, parade, and Grateful Dead cover band at Smiley’s. Make a day of it with the $10 shuttle into town every 15 minutes.
(I’ve mentioned the Point Reyes Light website before, an awesome resource for West Marin news.)
The parade starts at 10am and features Uncle Sam himself. Free popcorn and hotdogs to follow, along with food and drink vendors, live music, and something called a PATRIOTIC POOCH DOG CONTEST!
Sausalito is one of the few areas that does fireworks, starting at 9:15pm. They also have a parade in the morning (10am), an egg toss, and live music in the evening (6:30-9pm at Gabrielson Park).
Grab your spot and see the pre-parade entertainment starting at 9am. The parade is one of the Bay Area’s biggest and goes 10am-noon. Theme: “The Greatest Town on Earth”.
$10 pancakes ($5 for kids) will help raise funds. Parade at noon, Dickson Ranch BBQ after.
Parade at 10:30. 1-4:30pm festivities in Corte Madera's Town Park.
Parade at 11, picnic at 11:30. Food vendors, music, entertainment.
Glad to see Diddy didn’t kill the white party theme. As is tradition on the 4th, get fancy in all-white clothes. 8-midnight, $50.

Saturday, July 5
No “live on the avenue” on the 4th, but they’ll be back with an appealing band on Saturday from 6-8:30. Free.
Nothing more American than apple pie! This could be a good time to visit the Point Reyes Station farmer’s market and get a taste.
Sunday, July 6
This event is the first Sunday of every month from 6:30-10am. Maybe this is the time you go to grab your morning coffee and walk amongst the cars?
Corte Madera’s outdoor music series continues their fun picks. They even said about this band “It’s undeniable fun. It will make you dance.” 5-6:30, free.
