Finally, large free events are back! There’s a great band Friday in Ross and a couple more on Saturday in Sausalito.

Owe on your taxes? Just imagine it is the most expensive Kona Ice ever. Or just come celebrate getting them finished. 3:30-5pm, free.
Friday, April 17
The top rated Petty Theft tribute band (Tom Petty music) will make this quite the draw. There’s also a great lineup of food and drink vendors as well. 5-8, free.

This is a unique the combo. It’s not just yoga in Piper Park, you also have wireless headphones to fully enjoy the music at your preferred volume. And at the end? Taste some RAEN Winery rosé. 5:30-7:30pm, $55.
Saturday, April 18
Summit Mt. Burdell and visit the quarry while learning about the history from a ranger. 8am-noon, free (registration required).
This is the grand opening celebration for the new restaurant and they are going big with an all-day party right out front. Music by local heroes Stroke 9, one of my favorites Mitch Polzak, and LTB with Scott Guberman. Food and drinks for purchase. Noon-8pm, free.

This fundraiser for Oakview preschool will feature police, fire, and construction trucks. 9:30am-noon, $10.

Live yacht rock and lawn games. Plus free bites, beer, and wine. 2-6, free.
Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19
Special beers, food specials, live music, and BOWLING? I’m curious to see how they pull that off, we all miss bowling in Marin!
Sunday, April 19
This is an early dinner show at Rancho Nicasio, a great venue to enjoy this old school sound. 5pm, $27.

Tuesday, April 21
Storytelling up on stage: both scheduled professionals and attendees who put their name into the hat. I’ll be there, so come say hi or watch from Instagram/Facebook. 7pm, $25.
Wednesday, April 22
There are a lot of great restaurants there, I don’t think you’ve been to enough of them. This is a fun way to meet new people, plus you can now signup with a +1 and be placed at the same table. 6:15pm, $20.
Get your shop on
It’s the Sausalito City Wide Yard Sale day on Saturday 9-1 (the original date was rained out, so this is the new date). Could this be your new bedroom set?

There’s another Fine Estate Inc. auction ending this weekend in San Rafael. The French Market was rained out last week and pushed to this Sunday.

This gem is well known to locals, but most of Marin doesn’t even know about it. That’s mostly because it is tucked back by Scotty’s Market in a small shack and doesn’t have a dining room. Lou’s was recently rated on the SF Chronicle Top 100 Bay Area Restaurants list at #60, which is actually the top restaurant in Marin that doesn’t have a Michelin star (Madcap at #34).
They source ingredients at Marin Farmers markets and add the day’s menu on their website, Tuesday through Friday. Start calling right at 4:15pm, and if you get a busy signal, keep trying (by 5pm they might be sold out). Pick up times are between 4:45-7:30pm. It’s worth the effort! I suspect it’s due to the attention each order gets with just 1 oven and 2 burners in the tiny space.
