Join Our Own Marin Buzz Events

This Saturday 2/28, our day party is back. The last one sold out with 200 people, so don’t wait until the last minute to grab your ticket here. It’s on a deck (and indoor as well) in Sausalito, just above the Trident and will be a blast.
Our next Dinner Club is one a week away, Wednesday 3/4, and starting to fill up. You fill out a personality quiz and get assigned a restaurant to meet 5 strangers who might be new friends. Then after dinner, all the tables go to an optional afterparty. This time we are running three smaller locations all on the same night, each with their own afterparty: Fairfax, Novato, and Tiburon. Sign up here.

Wednesday, February 25
This one’s theme “That was the night everything changed…” and is held outdoors at a beautiful venue. 7-10, $45.
Thursday, February 26
California Gold is hosting this SF Beer Week event. They’ll have 12 beers that use Admiral Maltings, including the new Hidden Splendor brewery that will be opening in the former State Room location. BBQ starts at 6. Marin Buzz is organizing a few guys to go, so reply to this email ASAP if you want to join.

Friday, February 27
This is a cool show at the Sweetwater by a legendary Jamaican band. A nice change of pace from the cover bands we are so used to seeing. 7pm, $40.
Salsa dancing from 7 to 11:30. $18, but February birthdays get in free. (Which means their expected value on ticket sales is 1/12 less, so $16.50. Unless it elicits behavior change and more February birthdays than statistically expected...)
All Weekend Long
This is a massive event in the Marin Center Exhibit Hall. They even list the vendors, which is nice. 10-5 Friday through Sunday, free.
Saturday, February 28
We are back on the deck overlooking the bay, enjoying some tunes, a party saxophone, and great people. Come say hi. 11:30-3:30, $35.
“She sings with the power of Janis Joplin and plays her cello like Jimi Hendrix played his guitar.” Sounds fun! $28.
The limited release beer will be at Monk’s Kettle in Terra Linda, plus HenHouse’s Big Chicken. Opens at 11:30am.
The City of Novato is hosting this free kids event in their beautiful city hall. No reservations required and two shows: 10am and 11:30am.

The trendy Corner Bar is doing a DJ night again. 9:30pm-12:30am, no cover.
Saturday, February 28 and Sunday, March 1
This SF Beer Week event combines a coffee cake doughnut with a coffee stout. What better way to start the day? Actually, it is noon-4.
Sunday, March 1
A rare show at Rancho Nicasio that doesn’t have a cover. 4pm, free plus dinner price.

If you want a trip outside Marin
The Sunset Night Market in SF returns for a Lunar New Year celebration on Friday night at 5.

This just opened last week in a prominent corner location in Sausalito (on Bridgeway, close to the ferry where Caffe Tutti was most recently). Perhaps you’ve been to their location on Chestnut in SF? This is as farm-to-table as you get, including garden-to-glass cocktails. I had never heard that term before, but I believe they make syrups and infuse the spirits with produce from their gardens.
Have you been waiting for this to open a long time? The Press Democrat says it took over three years and over $4 million to complete! It is three times the size of their San Francisco restaurant and the interior looks incredible. Congratulations to the brother-and-sister team!
