The hottest days of the year weren’t even in the summer?!? Good news: it’s cooling off starting today.

Happy Birthday: Joey K

Bungalow Kitchen in Tiburon hosts a “Diane’s Bloody Mary brunch party” every weekend. Well, just who is this Diane and where can I buy the mix for a 10am 49ers game this season?

Turns out, the brand launched in 2014 with the 49ers as part of the Bourbon Steak & Pub “Michael Mina Tailgate.” Diane is the wife of the famous Bay Area and Las Vegas restaurateur! Right here in Marin she started a garden, including growing tomatoes, and ended up experimenting with a Bloody Mary recipe for her husband’s restaurants (including Bungalow Kitchen). Also, Michael Mina is opening a bar in SF with Stephen Curry.

“Cosmo” adopted from the streets of Bangkok. We found him as a little puppy living in a bush near our kids’ school when we lived there 6 years ago. We did a DNA test and he is a mix of at least 17 different dog breeds.

All Weekend Long

It isn’t often that a Broadway hit with most of its original cast members comes to Marin. Plus, this one is a hilarious Berkeley private school with well-meaning people tie themselves in knots. There are performances over the next three weeks.

Friday, September 5

This is the 2nd of 3 in the series of outdoor kids movies in Old Mill Park. Starts around 7:30, free.

The band this time is Jerry Hannan and the New Music Revival. According to his website “Folk rock that goes down well with a great aftertaste.” 6-9, free.

There are still tickets for the Hopmunk Summer Cookout with Mustache Harbor and Tainted Love. We went to this show last year and had a grand ol’ time. $44, 6pm.

The final acoustic show of the year by the cabin under the redwoods. “Marble Party is a power pop standout on the Marin County, California music scene." 5-7:30, free.

Saturday, September 6

Fire Safe Marin puts this on at the Marin Fairgrounds to encourage fire safety. Kids will love the fire trucks, grazing goats, and live-burn demonstration. Free, 10-4.

We have wine and feelings in our house, but I guess I could try a wine and stroll. There is a kids zone with a maker table and “Sterling the Bubblesmith”, so don’t feel bad bringing the young’uns. 4-7, $28.

Was there anything like the Vegas Rat Pack shows with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr.? I missed it by a few years, but this is a unique comedy and music show. 7:30pm, $40.

Don’t even think about baking it. I’m watching you. 9-2, free.

Sunday, September 7

He had a single that hit #1 in 1998, want to see him perform it live? 6pm, $44.
