Sometimes a new restaurant immediately becomes a local institution. Fairfax Brew Co knocks it out of the park, which you might expect from the group’s experience running the Flatiron and State Room. Both the indoor and outdoor seating are terrific, plus killer merchandise. Just well done all around, it is hard to believe it has been open for less than a year!

Frank is a 5 year old Boston Terrier who will do anything for a Greenie.

Wednesday, June 18

He’ll be at Book Passage at 6 to discuss his book “Felony Juggler: A Crime Novel”. Free, but may fill up.

Thursday, June 19

We will be there to check out this new wine bar for the first time, come say hi! 6-8, free.

They are closing down Grant Avenue for food and drink vendors plus a Bee Gees cover band. 6-9, free.

All Weekend Long

This weekend kicks off a fun summer event series in San Anselmo. Every Friday and Saturday from 6-8:30, they will close down the street and have live music.

Friday, June 20

FLY Story Slam in Mill Valley

These are “Factual Life Yarns” with the theme “Bending the Rules”. 7:30pm, $20.

I believe the movies are in the tent every Friday during summer. 6-8, free.

What better way to celebrate the longest day of the year? 7pm, $35.

Saturday, June 21

This is an all day event with various activities and story times. Count me in for Ice Cream Maker Demo and Samples!

It’s once a month, from 11-5.

Art, music, all you can eat paella, and more. 7-10pm, $80.

Sunday, June 22

Someone wrote a book about the “Wall of Sound” speaker system and will give a talk. 1pm, free.

They are raising money to make an animated short film. They’ll have live music, food, drinks, and a silent auction with some interesting items. 4-6, $35.

If You Want a Trip Outside Marin

Petaluma airport has a free event Saturday 10-3, including WWII P-51 Mustangs and a police helicopter.

The Presidio Theatre in SF is doing a small music festival, including Grahame Lesh on Sunday. $35 for adults and $10 for kids.
