Late July already, ahhh! Time to get to work on that summer bucket list…

This group did a series of fall Mill Valley shows last year and it looks like they’ll do it again. That one is questing through the redwoods, while this is more of a puppet show with audience participation. Suggested ages 3-9. Free at 11am San Anselmo, 3:30pm Mill Valley.

Two members of this popular band will do an acoustic outdoor show at Smiley’s. 5:30pm, free.

Series still going: Dirty Cello at Marin Art & Garden

This is the second weekend for the rink on the little circular island in the lagoon by the Civic Center. DJ nights Friday, Saturday, Sunday are rainbow, EDM glow, and neon themed. BYOS (skates) or $5 rentals.

The circus is back in town and they even have some adults-only shows. I’ll leave you to figure out what that means, if you’re so inclined. Prices vary.

Flyte Racquet Club is hosting this event that’s $15 for non-members. Play pickleball or padel from 4-6pm. After is a potluck and showing of the new Apple TV film The Dink.

Series still going: Jazz & Blues by the Bay in Sausalito, SunHunter at Creekside Fridays (Tam Junction)

This sells out every year, so don’t wait any longer if you’re hoping to go. 6-9pm, $44 adults, $17 kids.

10 beer tastings, a commemorative glass, live music and food for purchase. 3-7pm, $30.

The Hamilton Amphitheater is hosting this music in the park event. Food for purchase. 5-7pm, free.

Some people love this civic group, and although you may be 100 years late, maybe this is your chance to check it out. The top Pop Rocks cover band is playing. Drinks, BBQ, oysters for purchase. 10am-4pm, free admission.

A seated show at Sweetwater that includes 30 songs performed by top local musicians, along with storytelling. 8pm, $43.

If your summer bucket list includes making it to Rancho Nicasio for a BBQ on the lawn, consider this one. Show at 4pm, $39.

I cover many festivals. This is the only one with a Magic Booth for kids and adults to watch magicians. Plus, if you like Weird Al: “a Jewish spin on the lyrics of popular songs, transforming Lynyrd Skynyrd’s ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ into ‘Sweet Aroma of the Challah.’” 1-4pm, free.

Series still going: Corte Madera Summer Concerts

This Chinese restaurant downtown will soon be closing their doors, which is shocking since they’ve been around since the 1970s! The tips from the comments on my Instagram post: vegetarian potstickers and orange beef. They didn’t announce an exact closing date, I heard August 7-8 somewhere and August 15 somewhere else. Just go in soon for one final goodbye.
