This is the third weekend for the rink on the little circular island in the lagoon by the Civic Center. DJ nights Friday, Saturday, Sunday are superheroes vs. villains, Y2K and Barbiecore themed. BYOS (skates) or $5 rentals.

This is a beautiful destination on Tomales Bay with live music this Friday. The deck at Mable's Restaurant will have a BBQ menu and happy-hour priced oysters all night. 5-9pm.
Mable’s also has a new breakfast menu, served daily from 7am to 10am.
The director Kane Parsons went from sitting in high school in Novato (Marin School of the Arts) to a nearly $400M movie debut — in just three years (see our Instagram post). It’s showing at the historic Lark Theater for a convenient Friday 7:50pm screening. $16.

This is one of the Bay Area’s top cycling events that launches from Stafford Lake with several route options. Rest stops and after-party. Prices and times vary.
The Sausalito Center for the Arts will host this art and music show featuring two Emmy winners. 5-8pm, $35.
Live music, vendors, kids activities, boat tours, and history. 10am-6pm, free admission.
Sunday, August 2
This Marin band is a local favorite playing at the Corte Madera outdoor summer concert series. 5-6:30pm, free.

If you were looking forward to the USA Card Show at Marin Center, it has been rescheduled to late September.
It’s in the name, but when I went last week for our burrito Instagram series, I didn’t get the corn tortillas. Just listen to the impressive lengths they go through to make it fresh each day.
Nixtamalization. Take dried heirloom corn, steep it in an alkaline lime solution, let it sit for hours, grind it into fresh masa, then press it into tortillas and cook. Plenty of places make homemade corn tortillas, but that usually starts with purchased masa. This is next level devotion to the craft.
Cooper is an American Field Golden bred by Sunset Retrievers in Sacramento from a litter between Brisket and Rosemary. He is 9 months old and big brother to our newborn!
