It’s another fairly quiet winter weekend in Marin. Many of the bigger events start in March, but there’s still some excellent live music, hikes, and discussions to check out.

I don’t usually add an image here, but their website image looked cool

This popular bar in downtown San Rafael sold last month and will remain open under the same name. However, it will be interesting to see how things change since the new owners own Miracle Mile Cafe and Garden Cafe. Neither is a fancy spot, but both have a great reputation for their food. So does that mean Flatiron is getting a culinary upgrade?

They just posted on Instagram this week they are bringing back DJ nights, trying to be the late night destination for dancing in Marin. And they’ll still serve a limited food menu. Someone younger than me should go this Friday and tag @marin_buzz on Instagram so we can see what it’s like!

Groundhog Day at home on Netflix

Get your shop on

There’s a stunning estate sale in a 5,000 sqft home in SF’s Marina District. If you are looking for a deal or unique experience, Oakland’s White Elephant sale opens this weekend.

If you want a trip outside Marin

LumaCon is a comic convention for kids in Petaluma this Saturday 10-4 (I guess ComicCon is too many adults pretending to still be kids). You know you want to learn how to play DnD after watching Stranger Things…

Save the date

Our next dinner club will be Tuesday, 2/10 in Mill Valley. We will have the sign up link in Monday’s email.
