Happy Birthday: Jon

This all-you-can-video-game place used to be 21+, but recently changed. It is all-ages now until 8pm, then changes to 21+. For $14-16, you can play unlimited classic arcade games and pinball. I love this business model, and as any parent has been constantly asked for quarters knows, this is a good deal!

Friday, August 1
Luca is showing in Old Mill Park at sunset (so 8:15?). Free.
This is the first of the downtown Novato outdoor concert series we have featured. Looks like a good band. 6-8, free.
Fourth Street will be closed down 5-9 for the second annual party. Boombox is the headliner band that starts at 7. I’m sure they’ll get everyone dancing. Free.

Brian Melvin’s Grateful Jam (a Grateful Dead cover band) and Wreckless Strangers are both Friday night and both look good. 6-8:30, free.
Saturday, August 2
Free boat rides, learn how to make boats, live music, and more. 10-6, free.
Do you make the best jelly or jam in Marin? Enter to find out. 9-2.
The five route options vary from 37 miles to 120 miles. $120-$190.
I don’t know if I’ve been out there this summer yet, but this show could be a good reason to go. 5, free.
Sunday, August 3
Each week it is another impressive band, so I asked who was in charge. “Mark Goldrosen is Corte Madera’s new Bill Graham” according to Mayor Pat Ravasio! 5-6:30, free.
Join a renowned tea sommelier and learn about tea. 10-noon, $75.
I love a good pupusa (think quesadilla, but better). Should I enter the contest? 11-6, $50.
If You Want a Trip Outside Marin
