How’s that summer bucket list going? Now it’s really time to get out there and make the most of these exciting Marin activities.

Pop Rocks is the big name cover band performing at this end of summer street party. It’s a short walk from the SMART train stop (schedule). 6-9pm, free.

McGinnis is hosting this unique outdoor yoga experience. 8am, free (bring your own mat).

It’s great to see the next generation get into the Grateful Dead and originals inspired by them. These are five college kids I’ve been meaning to go see this summer. 7pm at the Paper Mill Creek Saloon, no cover.

This is the final weekend for the rink on the little circular island in the lagoon by the Civic Center. So if you’ve been wanting to go, now’s the time! DJ nights Friday, Saturday, Sunday are themed goth, zombie, and scary costume. BYOS (skates) or $5 rentals.

Great chance to try climbing with staff supporting all ages. Or if you’re experienced, there are competitions to join, gear discounts, and more. 10am-3pm, $10.

Marin Shakespeare is performing Julius Caesar at the Dominican amphitheater in San Rafael. Curtain Theatre is performing Love’s Labour’s Lost at the Old Mill Park Amphitheater in Mill Valley.

Info on this event is sparse, but it sounds fascinating. 6pm at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds.

Series still going: Jazz & Blues by the Bay in Sausalito

This pickleball fundraiser benefits the Melissa Prandi Children Foundation. Join the competitive bracket tournament in the morning, or the beginner and family play in the afternoon. No fee to join, you get a fundraising page to share.

Two Marin moms and friends took a DJing class, now throw these every month or two. “High-fidelity dance music for people who still love a real night out. 30+ by design.” 8pm-midnight, $36.

The Corner Bar is hosting another DJ night. Perfect timing for everyone who just went to Outside Lands and remembered they want to go out more. 9:30pm-12:30am, no cover charge.

This is a bit of an overlooked part of Marin with a rich history. And scandals apparently. Marcy of the Marin History Museum leads this tour. 10am, $10.

This sounds like a fun one outside at Rancho Nicasio. The Paladins, described as the preeminent blues/rockabilly band. Plus, Mitch Polzak, who I mention a lot because he puts on an entertaining show. 4pm, $44 entry, food is extra.

Series still going: Corte Madera Summer Concerts

Here in Marin, we are used to restaurants taking forever to turn over. Whether it’s staying the same concept with new ownership, like Marin Joe’s, or a new spot with light upgrades to the building, like Seafood Peddler to Lighthouse Bar & Grill.

The Kitchen Table restaurant closed on June 27. The same owners turned it into this new Italian deli in under 6 weeks and are already open. Maybe it’s the long family ties to the famous Alioto’s restaurant in SF: they are just good at this. Sandwiches, house-made pasta to take home, pinsas, and more. Looks delicious, I’m looking forward to trying it.
