This is an outdoor sunset series show at Rancho Nicasio. 7pm, $30. There’s also a Mitch Polzak indoor show Saturday night, and Wonder Bread 5 with a BBQ on the lawn Sunday (and sold out Sons of Champlin on Monday).

Series still going: West End San Rafael Block Party

150 artists each created a unique piece of art from the starting point of a simple wooden box. On display through September 26, free.

This is the final weekend for the free Shakespeare play at Old Mill Park. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, 2-4:30pm, free.

Some top regional standup comedians will perform in Creek Park, keeping it PG-13. Bring a low-back chair (or blanket). Music 6:15pm, comedy 7-8:30pm, free.

Last chance this year: you walk with a historian to visit the site where a European first set foot in California. 10:30am, free.

The final show of Belvedere concerts in the park is highly anticipated. Did you know Michael Jackson was in Marin in 1985? 4pm, free.

This festival was started by Swiss-Italian immigrants in the 1880s, so go be a part of the tradition. Oysters, music, and “dramatic readings recounting the exploits of William Tell.” Starts at noon, free.

Bolinas throws its annual Labor Day party downtown, with a BBQ, silent auction, and three stages of live music. Music noon-8pm, free.

Labor Day closes the season at to two popular public pools. McNears Beach Pool in San Rafael (free except parking) and Hamilton Pool in Novato ($8+).

There’s an impressive estate sale in Novato this Friday and Saturday. Gold, coins, fur, speakers, records, paintings, beer mirrors, furniture, a 49ers gold jacket, and more.

This eagerly anticipated new restaurant in Bon Air is now open. Before today, SF had great Chinese food options, but Marin not so much. It was mostly relegated to takeout options, but now there’s a destination with an impressive variety of dishes, cocktails, and a fun atmosphere.

I must admit, I wasn’t too familiar with dumplings. I knew the basics: thin dough with filling. However, I didn’t know the variety. Xiao long bao (XLB) is a soup-like consistency. The Tipsy Dumpling menu also features stir fries and other classic dishes like Orange Chicken. Plus, check out our video for something called Squirrel Fish:
