Your Marketing Dollars, Well Spent

Want to reach thousands of Marin residents for pennies each?

If you are a business owner or decision maker (49% of you are), you know how important a decision it is about where to spend marketing dollars. If you are a local business, with Marin Buzz, you'll know everyone you reach is a potential customer. And if you are an online business, you’ll know you’re reaching a group with solid spending power (based on location, plus 66% are homeowners).

Let’s talk about your goals and budget for 2026 (there are also a few spots open for 2025). We are rolling out exclusive partnerships across a number of categories, so we won’t run ads for a competitor. Simply reply to this email.

This is in a great location that happens to be the oldest brick building in Sausalito (1885). It sounds like a chain, like it started up north, but in fact it is the only location. If “sit-down burger” is a restaurant category, this has to be in contention for the top in Marin. They close at 6 each day, so it might be easier to go on a weekend. If there’s a wait, just walk around (like over to Gabrielson Park).

Pet of the Week is brought to you by: Tiburon Dog Butler, 415-413-6178 (now hiring a dog walker)

Nacho is a Spanish Galgo rescued from Fundación Benjamín Mehnert in Spain in May 2024.

If you’d like your pet to be considered for Pet of the Week, please fill this out!

Friday, October 3

This is the last of the series at Old Mill Park. Starts at sunset, free.

The penultimate event in this street shutdown series features the band Urban Outlaws. 6-9, free.

All Weekend Long

Is this the weekend you make it out to Nicasio? Friday is SunHunter Band “Pacific Sun’s 2025 best local band.” Saturday is Pete Floyd (think Pink Floyd) with a laser light show. Sunday is Rodney Crowell (sold out, but I’ll be there, so if you have tickets come say hi).

Actually, this goes all month. A bunch of restaurants added a special vegan menu item. I gotta try Palmetto Superfoods or Uchiwa vegan ramen.

Saturday, October 4

This is as impressive a wine festival as you’ll find. 65 wineries and 10 restaurants. All samples are included in the price. 1-4, $130.

Hard to believe they have been open for a year already. They will have live music, free soft serve for kids (what about 6’2” kids?), new beers and more. 11:30-9.

The Mill Valley Film Festival opens this week and this is one of the top events. The director gives you a peek behind the curtain of Wicked. (There are also the Metallica and Spike Lee events the following weekend that have standby lists. Plus this is an interesting local movie.) 1:45, $20.

We shared this as our bar of the week recently, and now they are officially launching with a party. It goes from 12-9, and there’s a $20 beer pong tournament that starts at 1.

It’s a long walk up White Hill (8 miles round-trip), which will give you plenty of time to talk “about the famous B-17 crash.” Sounds like a future Marin History post. 8-2, free.

I haven’t featured this awesome venue much recently, are they just not getting the top bands for some reason? This is an Allman Brothers tribute band who put on a good show. 7pm, $28.

This is a full-on fashion show, right here in Marin. Plus an after party. $80.

Sunday, October 5

We did a recent Marin History section about the McNears. Now you can hear from an expert and see it for yourself. 10am, free.

Are you a morning person? Grab a coffee and check out cars from 6:30-10.

Want a trip outside of Marin?

All weekend long in Golden Gate Park is Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. Completely free. Friday: Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Rodney Crowell, Shawn Colvin. Saturday: Steve Earle, Robert Earl Keen. Sunday: Emmylou Harris.

Can you do a good Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift impression? Apply to this movie shoot in Willows.

Thanks for reading. If you know of anything interesting going on in Marin, just reply to this email to let us know.
