Welcome to fall: rain and dark early. But don’t worry, it’s great for bonfires and glow sports (see below).

This spot just opened this week in downtown San Rafael. It looks like they might have food soon, but for now it is just beer. They started in 2012 down in Redwood City and are known for their British pub style ales while also embracing American IPAs. There are a few images on our Instagram post, I look forward to checking it out. And even though they are open now, they’ll have a grand-opening event Friday 11/14.

Pet of the Week is brought to you by: Tiburon Dog Butler, 415-413-6178 (now hiring a dog walker)

Gus is a 6-year old Great Pyrenees adopted as a puppy from Milo.

Thursday and Friday, November 6-7

This is your chance to meet the denim guru Jane Herman and shop in person (usually just online). At Marin Country Mart.

All Weekend Long

They are showing several interesting films, including about Georgia O’Keeffe, Barbara Walters, and Ed Sullivan. Dinner included, $50-80.

This is a musical comedy based on historical characters who lived and loved in Sausalito. 6-9, $60.

This is a massive event with over 200 vendors. There are some hands-on workshops, like making your own succulent garden. Free.

Saturday, November 8

If glow in the dark sports are your thing, you have been looking forward to this time adjustment. Congrats. This event is with Park Rangers providing the equipment out at Stafford Lake. 6-8, free.

Did you know the Hunter’s Moon is the first full moon after the Harvest Moon (which is closest to the fall equinox)? If you did, you might be interested in a sound bath with gongs, crystal bowls, and a violinist. 7-8:30, $45.

WE HAVE THE FIRST SANTA SIGHTING OF 2025! He’ll be there 11-2. Plus tons of vendors and baked goods. The event runs 10-4 and is free.

This is a new spot right between the Hamilton library and charter school. Music, movement, and entertainment. 10-1, free.

Sunday, November 9

Louis Pearl’s other nickname on his Wikipedia page is the “Pope of Soap.” It’s a remarkably long page, I guess he is a big deal who has been doing shows for a long time? Comedy + bubbles = fun. 2pm, $34 for adults, $23 for kids, $100 for a family of 4.

Rocky Graham Park is pretty close to the Target in Marin City and looks nice. They will have art supplies for hand turkeys and more. Noon-2, free.

This is a monthly outdoor event that people enjoy this “Vintage & Antique Market with a French Flair.” 9-3, free.

Next week there’s a special album release event with Narada Michael Walden at Cinelounge Tiburon. He’ll be there, so it sounds like it will be a unique experience for music fans.
