Restaurant of the Week

Kitsch + Sync (say it fast: “kitchen sink”) just opened in Novato near Creekside Bakery. It’s a kids’ indoor play place with some attention to what parents actually want too: sit down, sip a beverage, and enjoy a quality meal.

The hit is the panini lineup, and three of them, Big Brisket Energy, Pork You Very Much, and Mother Clucker, include meats by Lone Mountain BBQ. That’s Chris Stafford, who grew up in Larkspur and fell for barbecue in his early 20s while living in Northwest Arkansas. Back home in Marin, he kept his day job in tech and sold Central Texas-style brisket on the side. These days he mostly caters big events and weddings off a 1,000-gallon offset smoker built in Tennessee.

Sounds like a place both kids and parents will enjoy. We’re excited to check it out!

Pet of the Week
Huey and Dizzy, two small scruffy dogs, sitting side by side in a car

Huey & Dizzy are brothers from another mother. They were adopted 2 years apart but act like littermates. They love riding along in their human siblings’ carpools, then spend the day sad and sleeping after everyone’s dropped off at school.

If you’d like your pet to be considered for Pet of the Week, please fill this out!
