Happy Mother’s Day weekend! Here’s what is happening around Marin…
Happy Birthday: Danielle Boland
We love a family run restaurant, and this is a perfect example. Heidi and family at Insalata’s are nearing 30 years taking care of the community and serving delicious Mediterranean food in Marin. Top-notch take out and catering as well.

Natural Dye and Maakon Art Festival in Point Reyes Station
These are separate events, but you might want to check out both. 10am learn how to make natural dyes for fiber and yarn. Then 11-4 is a Native American festival with dancing, art, and more.
Sunday, May 11
Mother’s Day is the first of 6 pancake breakfasts they will have this year. You hike to get there, no other way! (Although you can choose if you want the hike to be longer or shorter.) $13 for adults, $8 for kids.
Check out the historic Falkirk Mansion with tea, sandwiches, and kid activities. Start times vary from 10:30 to 2:30. $85.
