Friday, May 29
Mark runs in the Grateful Dead circles and plays jammy original songs, as well as covers of The Dead, Dylan, The Band, and more. At the Papermill Creek Saloon, 8pm, $10.
The band this week in Piper Park is The Papermill Gang. Drinks, snacks, and Squared Pizza for purchase. 6-8pm, free.

This Jimi Hendrix tribute band is playing at the Sweetwater. I’ve heard great things. 8pm, $34.
Saturday, May 30
A celebrity chef brunch with a view and jazz music. This is a pop-up at the beautiful Eria venue. 11am-2pm, $65.
This weekend, the market is celebrating its 30th anniversary. I’m not too sure what all is involved in that, but they are looking for volunteers for a special strawberry shortcake booth. 9am-2pm, free.
This annual event is held at the Falkirk Cultural Center Gardens, which is worth checking out. Talk to the experts or just buy potted arrangements. 9am-noon, free entry.
This is the location of Marin’s outdoor education program, hosting 4,500 students annually. For the first time, they have an open community day with hikes, a fish biologist, games, and more. 10am-2pm, free (but donations appreciated).
There are a lot of experiences and vendors. I’m unclear what all is free, but there are some $15 workshops. Noon-5:30pm, free.

Sunday, May 31
Pride month is starting one day early on the beautiful Tiburon waterfront. Music, activities, and an after-party at Cinelounge. 1-4pm, free.
The Northern Marin Collective is bringing together women at Flyte Racquet Club to support Canal Alliance. 9-11am, $35 (or $45 with a clinic).

It will reopen this Saturday, 5/30 at noon. After it abruptly closed due to a car hitting the building, there were many twists and turns to open back up. The building sold, then the business sold, followed by more delays. There are many people in Marin who have been patiently waiting and I’m sure it’ll be a boisterous first weekend. If you go, tag @marin_buzz on the socials.

A new brunch spot just opened in San Anselmo, near the Red Hill Shopping Center. I’ll have to give it a try soon! It looks like an impressive buildout with a beautiful interior. Open from 9am to 2:30pm daily with one menu all day, so fully focused on brunch. Sign me up for a Morning Cheesy Scramble. They also have beer and wine, including mimosa flights and low or zero ABV cocktails. They’ve been working on this quite a while, so congratulations on the launch!

Garfield & Grover are a bonded pair of cherry-headed conures adopted from Mickaboo Companion Bird Rescue and were originally from the SF wild parrot flock.
