The Marin Buzz Day Party returns to Sausalito on Sunday 3/22. We have a great DJ lined up, extended the party by 30 minutes, and released a $25 ticket tier.

There’s also a Coffee Micro Festival the morning before, Saturday 3/21, in the same Eria Sausalito location (above the Trident). Two top small-batch roasters will serve unlimited samples while you enjoy overlooking the bay. $20 early bird tickets through this Sunday.

The Marin Mile is coming up on 5/30. They have a very wide range of people who run 4 laps around the track at Archie Williams High — if last year’s records are correct, from ages 5 to 88! Is this the year someone breaks 4 minutes? It’s normally $38, but you can get $5 off with the code MARINBUZZ. And if you have never run in any race before, email to get a $10 off code.

I finally made it to this new spot on 4th Street in Downtown San Rafael (it opened 4-5 months ago, I believe the most recent restaurant in that location was Iron Springs). It was great for a weekend lunch spot. First, the vibe is pretty cool. It has massive windows and the front opens into an indoor-outdoor type of patio. Hard to explain, so here is a picture:

Which is perfect because you don’t want to be too out there on the busy stretch of downtown, but also want to feel like you are outside on a sunny day. The pizza was good, but I’d caution you not to think of it just as a pizza place. The sandwiches looked great (they use their signature pizza dough for the bread), and they have a pretty full menu. I’m sure I’ll be back!

Meet Penny, a beautiful field Golden Retriever with a heart as big as her smile. Penny’s journey to her forever home wasn’t easy—she lived with three different families before being surrendered to NorCal Golden Retriever Rescue at just 13 months old. That’s when I met her as a foster, and it didn’t take long to realize she was already home. I officially adopted her soon after, knowing Penny had finally found the place—and the people—she was meant to be with.

Now almost 4 years old, Penny is living her absolute best life. She’s a fun-loving, playful, yet wonderfully calm companion who adores socializing with both dogs and humans. True to her golden nature, she’ll wiggle her way over to sit on your feet for pets, happily roll onto her back in pure joy, and swim after any ball thrown into any body of water. She’s also known for her signature move: carrying multiple toys in her mouth at once.

We recently moved from Sausalito to Mill Valley, where Penny loves running down the bike path to the dog park and greeting new friends along the way. If you see us out and about, please say hi—Penny would love to meet you!
